Skin Voyager ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Skin Voyager mobile application (the "App") and this website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Account information: name, email address, and any details you provide when you create an account or contact us.

Facial and skin images: to provide AI skin analysis, the App accesses your device camera and/or photo library to capture or import images of your skin. These images are processed to generate skin-health insights.

Usage data: information about how you interact with the App, including features used, session duration, device model, operating system, and app version.

Diagnostic data: crash logs and performance data used to improve reliability.

The App requests access to your camera and photo library solely to capture or select images for skin analysis. You can decline or revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings; however, core analysis features will not function without them.

Images used for analysis are processed to extract skin metrics (such as texture, tone, hydration, and pigmentation). We do not use your images for advertising, and we never sell your images.

To provide skin analysis, the App sends the photo you capture or upload to the Google Gemini AI API, operated by Google LLC, for processing. This is a third-party AI service that analyzes the image and returns skin-health insights.

Data collected and shared for this feature: a photo of your face or the skin area you choose to scan. This image is transmitted securely (encrypted in transit) to the Google Gemini AI API.

How it is processed: the AI analyzes the image to estimate skin metrics (such as hydration, texture, tone, pigmentation, and other biomarkers) and to generate personalized routines and recommendations.

Consent required: before your first scan, we present an in-app consent screen that explains this data sharing. You must explicitly agree before any photo is sent to the AI service. You can decline, in which case scanning will not proceed.

Data retention: photos are processed in real time to produce your results and are not stored permanently by the AI service. We do not retain your scan photos on our servers after analysis.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting, analytics, and the Google Gemini AI API used for skin analysis) under confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the services and for legitimate legal or business purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to withdraw consent or object to certain processing (including rights under the GDPR and CCPA).

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

The App is distributed via the Apple App Store and Google Play. Your use of the App is also subject to the respective platform's terms and privacy practices. We handle in-app data as described in this policy and in the data-safety and privacy disclosures we provide to each store.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with an updated effective date and, where appropriate, notify you within the App.
